ASI Expands Canadian Efforts With Upgraded ESP, New Shows And Research

Distributors will be able to source and order products in ASI Canada’s ESP with more confidence

TREVOSE, PA – January 3, 2019 – The Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI) today announced it’s expanding efforts to better serve and support the Canadian promotional products industry through new shows, Canada-specific industry research and updates to ASI Canada’s ESP®.

“As part of our overall strategy to help ASI Canada members grow their businesses, we’re providing everything suppliers and distributors need, from the industry’s leading technology and business-building events to cutting-edge research sales reps can use to clearly demonstrate the power and reach of promotional products to end-buyers,” said Timothy M. Andrews, ASI president and chief executive officer.

ASI Canada’s chief initiatives include:

  • Improved experience in ASI Canada’s ESP and ESP Websites. Distributors can more quickly and easily find the right product for their buyers and present and order products from suppliers that have been specifically vetted for their active support and understanding of the Canadian market. In addition, this week at ASI Orlando, ASI will demonstrate its new Canadian interface, available in both French and English.
  • New Toronto event with education. A one-day tabletop show and intimate networking event with education on Tuesday, June 18, at the Montecassino Vaughan Event Centre. A hands-on experience with top suppliers as well as invited end-buyers.
  • Relaunched ASI Canada website. ASI Canada is the industry’s best resource for everything Canada, including unlimited access to breaking news, research, events and the technology needed to make informed decisions, network and run day-to-day operations, translated to Canadian English and French.
  • Canadian-specific end-buyer research. ASI has completed extensive research among end-buyers in Canada and is including statistics specific to four Canadian provinces in its latest Global Ad Impressions Study.
  • Launch of The Joe Show Canada, a video series featuring Canadian and Canadian-friendly supplier products.

And, coming up in 2020, ASI plans to launch two more Roadshow Plus events, with locations to be announced at a later date.

Also at ASI Orlando, ASI is hosting a happy hour meet-and-greet for Canadian distributors and suppliers, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Friday, January 4, at Bahama Breeze, 8849 International Dr., Orlando.

“ASI is in it for real in Canada, doing everything we can to support our Canadian members,” said Rita Ugianskis-Fishman, senior vice president and general manager of ASI Show. “Our chief goal is to bring suppliers and distributors together and give them every resource in our tool kit to help them land more sales.”
