ASI Expanding Programs to Help Suppliers and Distributors Reach More End-Buyers

August 17, 2004, Trevose, PA — The Advertising Specialty Institute, the largest member organization in the promotional products industry, has recruited Judith Cavaliere, former publisher of Promotional Marketing magazine, to serve as associate publisher of Imprint magazine.

Imprint is published by ASI to provide distributors a marketing tool written for the end-buyer of promotional products. The magazine includes marketing tips and success stories direct from promotional products buyers, in addition to the latest in logoed products, sponsored by ASI suppliers.

“I am very excited about Judi joining the ASI team,” says ASI Publisher Rich Fairfield.  “We have aggressive plans for Imprint. For over 30 years Imprint has been a quarterly publication. We hired Judi to expand the frequency of Imprint as well as its circulation, and advertising franchises.”

Fairfield said that, “As associate publisher, Judi’s deep knowledge of the needs of our suppliers and distributors will be invaluable as she continues to add quality content and broaden Imprint‘s advertising and circulation base.”

Cavaliere will continue to foster the supplier/distributor relationship encouraged by ASI, and expand the already powerful presence of Imprint, which now includes a way for end-buyers to directly notify their ASI distributor about an advertised product in which they are interested. ASI suppliers are also notified that a lead for their product has been generated, without compromising the identity of either the distributor or end-buyer. The lead program is designed to allow distributors and suppliers to be able to track their return on investment when providing subscriptions to Imprint to end-buyer clients or when advertising in the magazine.

In addition to increasing the frequency of Imprint, whose design was refreshed earlier this year, ASI has launched three new specialty catalogs to help distributors reach and serve end-buyers. Those catalogs are Rewards & Incentives, due out this week; Everything Sports, to be published in November; and Debut, which publishes in December and features unique and trendy products, or product applications new to the promotional products industry.

Cavaliere joins ASI from Peter Li Inc. in New York City, where she served as Publishing Director for School Planning and Management and College and Planning Management magazines.

For 22 years, Cavaliere held several positions of increasing responsibility at North American Publishing Company, where she ultimately became Group Publisher/Vice President. During her tenure there, she spearheaded the launch of Promotional Marketing magazine.

Cavaliere earned her BA from Hunter College in New York. She is listed in the Who’s Who of Publishing Executives, served on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey PTA, frequently speaks at trade shows and seminars, and, in her spare time, volunteers for Animal Rescue. She lives in North Brunswick, NJ with her husband and daughter.
