ASI Relaunches Free Online Education Platform For Members

Earned points no longer needed to achieve BASI or MASI education certifications

TREVOSE, PA – January 18, 2019 – The Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI) today announced it has relaunched its free online education platform and certification program for members to make it faster and more user-friendly than ever.

ASI retired the education points system previously used to earn a BASI™ (Bachelor of Advertising Specialty Information) or MASI™ (Master of Advertising Specialty Information) certification, making the change out of consideration for members’ time and earned industry experience.

The ASI Education Certification Program remains free for ASI members and supports the needs of everyone from newcomers to proven industry veterans. Up-to-date online classes at www.ASIuniversity.com cover relevant topics in vital business fields like sales, marketing, social media and decoration to help members of the promotional products industry continue their professional development and grow their business.

ASI members can now request the BASI or MASI exam when they feel confident in their knowledge. Members must pass the BASI exam before requesting the MASI exam. They can fill out a simple form at www.ASIcentral.com/education to request the updated exam, which has fewer questions than before. In addition, the BASI/MASI certifications no longer expire, so recertification is not necessary.

Live courses continue to be offered at ASI Shows and events, presented by experts in their field. Highlights of free education offered at the inaugural ASI Show in Fort Worth, Monday, Feb. 4 through Wednesday, Feb. 6, include:

  • 45 all-new courses for every level of industry experience and interest
  • 2-hour sessions anchoring the end of the Beginner Sales Success, Advanced Sales Success, Social Media & Marketing and Screen-Printing Success tracks
  • New speakers and returning favorites sharing their insight and expertise
  • Power Session classes on both Exhibit Days, focusing on improving skills in sales, marketing, online presence and more

Registration is also open for ASI’s annual large trade show in Chicago, Tuesday, July 9 through Thursday, July 11, which offers three days of education featuring over 50 classes. Once members have earned their BASI or MASI certification, they’ll be invited to attend an exclusive breakfast with ASI CEO Tim Andrews and get pinned on stage before the keynote presentation.

No pre-registration is required for courses offered at ASI trade shows.
