Over 27,000 currently enrolled in ASI’s Education Certification Program
TREVOSE, PA – July 11, 2013 – The Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI) today announced it hit an education milestone after awarding 1,078 certifications to professionals in the promotional products industry through its free Online Learning Center.
Over 27,000 industry professionals are currently enrolled in ASI’s Education Certification Program and, to date, 5,040 have attended live education classes during the 2013 ASI Show® season, making ASI the largest educator in the industry.
ASI launched the industry’s only free certification program in November 2010 to provide distributors, suppliers and decorators the skills necessary to out-think, out-perform and out-service the competition while elevating the level of expertise and professionalism of all members of the advertising specialty industry. ASI annually invests $1.3 million to educate its members.
“This milestone represents a major commitment on the part of more than 1,000 men and women who devoted considerable time and energy to improving their professional lives,” said Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI. “The very best way to move this industry forward is through superior business training, and ASI is proud to have helped so many lead the way by providing the best-quality education available. To have hit this major milestone so quickly after establishing our education program is icing on the cake.”
The ASI Certification Program offers two certification levels: BASI™ (Bachelor of Advertising Specialty Information) and MASI™ (Master of Advertising Specialty Information).
Participation in the ASI Education Certification Program costs nothing for ASI members and is user-friendly, with all courses automatically tracked electronically via ASI’s proprietary digital campus.
