ASI Shines Spotlight On Top Promo Campaigns

Industry marketing showcases innovation, creativity and commitment

The Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI) today recognized the best promo campaigns of 2023, showcasing ways suppliers and distributors within the $25.8 billion promotional products industry can drive sales and generate buzz while embracing new ideas and a commitment to change.

“This year’s top campaigns demonstrate the continued evolution of promo companies: mastering social media, championing sustainability, embracing transparency and seamlessly juggling even the most complex of orders,” said ASI Editor-in-Chief C.J. Mittica. “The entire industry should be proud of the forward thinkers and marketing geniuses we’re honored to celebrate.”

Here are the winners of ASI Media’s 2023 Promo Campaign Awards:

  • Best Distributor Client Promotion: Brilliant (asi/146116) demonstrated its capabilities by curating and delivering customized gift boxes for Uber’s Reimagine Awards. Brilliant sourced 525 high-end products and created 124 gift sets given to in-person employee award winners as well as virtual attendees in 17 countries.
  • Best Distributor Self-Promotion: WHOOPLA (asi/522701) offered a well-curated summer swag kit experience with all the essentials for crafting tropical cocktails, gaining three new clients and over $20,000 in additional projects while generating an impressive ROI of over 1,225%.
  • Best Supplier Self-Promotion: Top 40 supplier PCNA (asi/66887) promoted its own sustainable purchasing practices while helping educate the industry through its new corporate social responsibility (CSR) platform ProudPath. At launch, webinar attendees received kits with ProudPath-branded products demonstrating the reach of products available through the platform.
  • Best Use of Video: Top 40 supplier SnugZ USA (asi/88060) produced a powerful video, “We’re Ready,” that candidly addressed its challenges integrating a major acquisition and its commitment to improving customer service. The video rebuilt trust, increased call volume and positive engagement with distributors, ultimately signaling a new era for the supplier.
  • Best Sustainability-Driven Campaign: INM Marketing Group (asi/229643) launched a CSR campaign with a focus on sustainability and social impact, providing core decision-makers from clients’ marketing and HR departments with branded kits containing eco-friendly and socially responsible products, resulting in a 304% direct ROI and increased client awareness of CSR.
