ASI Launches The Gift Book Catalog for 2010-2011

Perfectly timed for the peak selling season and featuring new digital version

TREVOSE, PA – July 26, 2010 – The Advertising Specialty Institute today announced the availability of The Gift Book catalog, a proven selling tool designed to drive crucial fourth-quarter sales.

Distributors ordering The Gift Book will receive a free personalized digital version and free shipping if ordered by August 31.

The 2010-2011 Gift Book features more than 400 products from 60-plus suppliers and contains special sections on food and drink, cards and stationery, plus the popular golf section.  It allows customers to search for affordable products (starting at $1.19) for any occasion by type, price range and product line.  Distributors can choose between two covers options: standard and a stylish deluxe red version.

According to Counselor magazine, more industry sales occur in the fourth quarter than any other period during the year; much of it due to end-buyers in need of quality items for incentives and corporate gift-giving programs.  This year’s catalog meets those needs with products that include trendy electronics, writing instruments, desk accessories, stylish watches and leather portfolios.

“When you need an attractive catalog packed with chic gifts from exclusive suppliers, The Gift Book delivers,” said Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI.  “At this time of year, you need to act fast to capture the all-important holiday market.  And, there’s no better way for clients to say ‘thank you’ than with the outstanding items from this catalog.”

The front cover of each Gift Book can be imprinted in full color with the distributor’s logo and contact information, helping to drive immediate leads and sales from this proven marketing vehicle.  In fact, according to a recent ASI study of end-buyers, 91% of recipients take action as a result of something they noticed in a paper catalog, with nearly half (49%) purchasing a product.
